SCA at labour market day at Umeå University

SCA participated in UNIADEN which is one of Sweden’s largest student fairs and is held at Umeå University, in Northern Sweden, every year. UNIADEN is a meeting place for students and companies in the region.

 

It's a chance for companies to promote themselves and entry methods into the company for such things as employment, thesis projects or practices. At the same time, it’s a possibility for the students to network and make connections for the future. Some 90 companies from the district participated this year and 5000 students took the opportunity to meet possible employers.

This year our Obbola mill participated in conjunction with SCA Forest Products divisions and a lot of students showed interest for SCA along with  taking part in activities arranged in the showcase. Besides from the fair itself, the arrangement contained guest lectures, contact dialogues and speed meetings between students and company representatives.

Taking part of UNIADEN is one way for us to get an understanding of the students requirements and at the same time profile our need of  competence in order to ensure future recruitment.
