Our Lucca mill enhances its EMAS certification

Our Lucca mill acquired the EMAS certification back in 2006 but is now enhancing its accreditation according to new policies within EMAS regulations.

The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme, or as it is usually known EMAS, is a European voluntary instrument which acknowledges organisations that improve their environmental performance on a continuous basis. There are more than 4,100 registered organisations running environmental management systems and reports on their environmental performance.  This certification goes one step further then the ISO 14001 certification which Lucca also has since 2001.
Adhering to the enhancement of the EMAS regulation, companies are now required not only to adopt a rigorous environmental management system, but also to publicize, in a clear, transparent manner, the results of its work and the commitments it has made for the future.

A copy of Lucca's Environmental Declaration (Dichiarazione Ambientale) is available upon request in the communication office of the mill.
