Our Benelux customers get a taste of SCA in Sweden

On March 16 - 18 the SCA Containerboard Obbola mill in Sweden had the pleasure of welcoming a group of Customers from the Benelux region.

The people were introduced to the paper making process from logging the trees to the final produce, our paper.  The visit began in the logging area where our Customers could see first hand how SCA harvest its trees from out of our FSC, Forest Stewardship Council, certified forests. They learnt more about what SCA is doing to care for the environment and we shared our sustainability targets that are an important part of the SCA’s responsibility as Europe’s largest private forest owner. 

After this, our guests got to see the SCA Supply Chain and how we deliver our paper by visiting Umeå Harbour.  Here they learned about the logistics company SCA Transforest which provides an extensive sea and land transport within Europe and other overseas destinations delivering to our customers. 

Customers were very interested in visiting the mill to see our new Recovery Boiler that helps us produce more efficiently and of course they enjoyed seeing our impressive paper machine, one of the widest in Europe!

And to get a Swedish winter flavour, our Customer enjoyed typical winter activities like snow sledge riding!
