ISO is part of SCA Containerboard’s Standards

ISO standards that provide requirements or give guidance on good management practice are among the best known of ISO's offering. Of these, two have achieved truly global status and are now thoroughly integrated with the world economy.
The ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 families are among ISO's best known standards ever. Specifically the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001: 2004 are implemented by over a million organizations in 175 countries.
The ISO 9000 family addresses "Quality management". This means what the organization does to fulfil: the customer's quality requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of these objectives.
At each of our paper mills we hold an ISO 9001:2000 which specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
The ISO 14000 family addresses "Environmental management". This means what the organization does to: minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities, and to achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance.
At each of our paper mills we hold also the ISO 14001:2004 which specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organization to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and information about significant environmental aspects. It applies to those environmental aspects that the organization identifies as those which it can control and those which it can influence. It does not itself state specific environmental performance criteria.
